Chair
James is the President of Bulldog Commercial Restoration & Waterproofing Inc. and has served as a director with the Building Envelope Council Ottawa Region (BECOR) since 2010. James has a passion for building science and has years of experience as a technical sales specialist in waterproofing, air barriers, structural glazing, and coatings technologies. James uses his network of contacts within the architectural, engineering, and contractor community in efforts to further grow the BECOR membership and find new and interesting topics for presentations.
President & Vice-Chair
Dan Fried is an accomplished professional with over 30 years of experience in property management and construction. He was the CEO and co-owner of Capital Integral Property Management, where he successfully led a team of more than 30 individuals and managed over 50 Condominium Corporations, guiding them through all stages from new builds to older properties.
Born and raised in Ottawa, Dan resides in the west end of the city with his wife and two daughters. He holds the prestigious Registered Condominium Manager (RCM) designation—the first of its kind in Ottawa—and is a Certified Scrum Manager. As a member of the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO) and the Canadian Condominium Institute (CCI). He was committed to upholding the highest standards in the industry. His firm was recognized as one of the few ACMO 2000-certified companies in the Ottawa area and is uniquely approved to teach RCM courses within the region.
In addition to his management responsibilities, Dan focuses on consulting for troubled condominiums, enhancing transparency and accountability through innovative technology and personal interactions. Recently, he was appointed to the Discipline Appeals Committee of the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) to oversee professional conduct within the profession.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Dan was the Chair and CFO of Angels of Hope, where he has played a pivotal role in raising $2.2 million for brain tumor research. He is also the Founder and President of the Capital Prosperity Foundation, which supports various children’s causes and has raised over $300,000.00 .
Treasurer
Originally from the Ottawa Valley and having spent about a third of his career in the Ottawa area, Kevin has a real connection with Ottawa and the surrounding area. Having lived in 18 communities both in Canada and internationally over his 40+ year career in financial services, Kevin has been an active supporter, Board member and advocate of charities in each of those communities. Since retiring from his Vice President role with RBC in late 2019, he now spends his time working with a number of business owners in an advisory role and dedicating more of his time to charities.
Secretary
Lisa is a North Bay native now based in Ottawa, bringing a unique blend of creative
vision and governance expertise to her community leadership. With over twenty-five
years in the performing arts and more than a decade in non-profit governance, she
offers strong organizational insight, compliance expertise, and a collaborative
leadership style.
Since joining the Board in 2020, Lisa has served as Secretary of the Capital Prosperity
Foundation, championing its mission to help Ottawa’s most vulnerable children and
families access the essentials they need to thrive. She is proud to support programs
that provide food, furniture, and vital resources to help ensure every child can grow,
learn, and succeed.
Lisa also serves as Director and Secretary of Constellation Theatre Co. in North Bay
and has previously served on several boards and committees including the Ottawa
Choral Society, Carleton Music Students' Society, and MusicFest Canada.
Director
Andrej Litvinjenko is the Managing Director & Lead Counsel of TAAG Law. He fled to Canada from a communist country and has seen first-hand the social and economic challenges facing many Canadians. Since moving to Ottawa in 2011, he has been involved in various local poverty alleviation efforts, particular concerning children. This includes his previous role as Fundraising Manager for the Fund for a New Generation’s Ottawa Gala and regularly preparing and serving meals at Shepherd’s of Good Hope for Ottawa’s less fortunate. He deeply believes that individual and community action and self-reliance are the primary drivers of prosperity and broader social health and is proud of CPF’s work and mission. He earned his law degree from the University of Ottawa and holds graduate degrees in economic theory and political science. He is a member of the Ontario and Alberta Bars.

President and founder of Ainger Cabling + Security, Ron has been in the structured cabling and telecom business for more than 40 years. He began his career working for Bell before opening Ainger Communications in 1996. Three years later he launched the electronic security division and has not looked back. Ron's experience includes the evaluation, planning, design, project management and full implementation of structured cable & electronic security systems for a wide variety of clients in Canada and the United States.
Director
Jason is a venture builder + serial entrepreneur who created Conduit Solutions over 20 years ago to advise other entrepreneurs to develop new products and innovations. He then consults on successfully launching “go to market” and business growth campaigns. As a big believer in community building, Jason gives back as the current President of the Carleton university alumni association, where he also mentors at the Innovation Lab. In addition, he is an advisor for Junior Achievement - Ottawa, and previously a Community leader + youth ambassador detail for Startup Canada and a board member with The Ottawa Network. All together, its made him a sought-after startup coach/advisor, strategic consultant and community connector.
Director
Stéphanie Plante was elected Councillor of Rideau Vanier in November 2022. She ran on a platform dedicated to addressing the lack of affordable and permanent housing, community safety and wellbeing, and local solutions to the climate crisis.
She holds a BA and MA in Political Science from the University of Windsor. Stéphanie is Vice-Chair of the Built Heritage Committee and sits on the Community Services Committee, the Emergency Preparedness and Protective Services Committee, the Board of the Ottawa Community Housing Corporation, and the Shaw Centre Board of Directors. She is a non-voting observer on the ByWard Market District Authority. Stéphanie cares deeply about walkable, safe and green neighbourhoods, and ensuring that our spaces are welcoming for everyone. In 2020, in consultation with Inuit and First Nations communities, Stéphanie led the naming of the Annie Pootoogook Park and oversaw the first celebration of World Inuit Day.

CFRE
Sam Laprade is an award-winning broadcaster, professional fundraiser, author, and volunteer known for connecting communities, amplifying important voices, and advancing philanthropy. Over three decades, she has raised funds for significant charities like The Ottawa Hospital Foundation, Ottawa Humane Society, and Ottawa Mission Foundation. Since 2017, Sam has provided fundraising strategy and data analysis at Gryphon Fundraising, supporting local, national, and international clients. She created and hosts "An Hour to Give," sharing philanthropic stories on Rogers TV Ottawa and Country 101.1, and co-authored the book Ottawa Made, celebrating local inventors and creators. Sam's contributions have earned her Algonquin College's Creative Arts Alumni of Distinction Award in 2022 and the Order of Ottawa in 2023. Above all, she proudly identifies as mom to her daughter, Avery.
